Work well in the 1960s and 1970s not only more common. It turns retirement in America. Almost one out of every five adults is more than 65 years old, it holds a job, a number that continues to climb, according to the analysis of the Pew Research Center. This transformation is a major exit from recent decades. PEW analysis shows that in 1987, only 11 % of Americans were employed 65 and above.
